Where do most sessions take place?
Sessions take place near downtown Fort Worth, Botanic Gardens, Stockyards, Museum District, surrounding parks, and waterways, or your preferred location. I do recommend these outdoor locations for families with children 2 years and up. Many clients have requested sessions at their home to provide a more calm atmosphere for the children, which also helps retain those cherished memories. Maternity age to the 1 year old cake bites/smashes, a wonderful age to catch those pristine moments.
When should I reserve my session?
It’s never too early to reserve your spot, most clients try to reserve sessions anywhere from 1-6 months in advance. I do take a limited amount of sessions per month so that I am able to best serve my clients with reschedules due to weather, family situations, etc. This allows for last minute availability if needed.
How long will my session be?
Session length ranges from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the type of session you book. Newborn sessions are the longest, typically lasting around 2 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and gently posing your baby.
What is included in my session?
Each session comes with different options, but they all come with a minimum number of high resolution images. See full pricing at the link at the top of my site.
How long before I get my images and how do I get them?
Within three weeks of your session date, you’ll receive an email with a link to your online gallery. From there, you can select your favorite images and order any heirloom pieces you’d love to display in your home.
How many final images will I see in my gallery?
Each session is unique in the number of images it produces, but on average you can expect a minimum of 30 final images. Newborn sessions typically include 60 or more final images in the gallery.
BOOKING, TRAVEL & PAYMENT
What days can we book a session?
Outdoor sessions are scheduled on Tuesday thru Saturday early mornings and late afternoons. If your home is requested for a session, same days are available with extended times if necessary.
What if I'm only visiting from out of town?
No problem at all! I’m happy to create a custom session for out-of-town clients. Just send me a message, and I’ll provide all the details.
How far do you travel?
Travel is included for locations up to 20 miles from Fort Worth proper with your session. If your location is farther than that, a travel fee will be applied based on distance and travel time.
How do I pay for my session? How much is due to book?
Payment is made online through a secure invoice. A non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session date, with the remaining balance due prior to your session.
If we do an outdoor session, what time of day will it be?
Outdoor sessions always take place within the first two hours after sunrise or the two hours before sunset, no matter the time of year. This timing gives us that beautiful, soft, glowy light—without harsh shadows or the heat of the day. *Mid summer days, I do suggest early morning sessions.
If a reschedule is needed due to weather or sickness?
No worries at all! If weather or sickness causes us to reschedule, your session fee remains valid for one year from your original booking date. We’ll simply find a new date that works for everyone. Your family’s health and beautiful lighting are always the priority.
